George Kakouris,
Chairman Born and raised in Coral Gables,
George has served as Chairman
of the Museum Board for six
years. Under his leadership,
the Board has expanded the
original scope of the Museum
to integrate additional gallery
spaces and a public plaza,
creating a "campus" setting
for the Museum. Currently, Senior Vice President- Investments with Wachovia Securities, Mr. Kakouris
has worked in the Financial
Services industry for over
30 years.
He resides in Coral Gables
with his wife, Elizabeth and two children.

Vice-Chairman Eduardo L. Hernandez is
Vice Chairman of the Board of
Trustees of the Coral Gables
Museum. Mr. Hernandez is an attorney
practicing in Coral Gables and
is involved with various civic
organizations and the University
of Miami. He resides in Coral
Gables with his wife and three
children.

Susan Wills Amat
Susan Wills Amat is the founding executive director of the Enterprise Lab, the University of Miami entrepreneur and innovator resource center. Dr. Amat has founded several companies in the entertainment and health care industries and most recently a consulting company focused on sustainable product design. Born and raised in Coral Gables, she is proud to live in the City Beautiful with her husband and daughter.
George Cuesta
George Cuesta, a principal of Miami-based Cuesta Construction, has an extensive background in finance, having served as Commercial Lending Vice-President for Terrebank, NA and SunTrust Bank, NA. A graduate of Florida International University, Cuesta also currently serves on the Advisory Boards of St. Thomas University Board and the Associated Builders and Contractors, Florida East Coast Chapter. He resides in Miami with his wife, Marcela and three children.

Moore Parks Arva is a Miami native with a
master’s degree in history. She
has been researching and writing
about South Florida for more
than 35 years. She authored,
co-authored, edited or contributed
to more than a dozen books and
documentaries and is a passionate
historic preservationist. She
held many leadership positions
in that field including a presidential
appointment to the Federal Advisory
Council on Historic Preservation.

Venny Torre is president and CEO of Torre Development Group Inc., a full service real estate development, construction management, and certified general contracting company. He is also the owner and president of Network Investments of South Florida, a real estate brokerage company. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Building Construction from the University of Florida as well as an Associate in Arts in Architecture Degree. Mr. Torre is a Certified Florida Licensed General Contractor as well a Florida licensed real estate broker. He resides in Coral Gables, Florida with his wife and daughter.
