Volunteers at the Coral Gables Museum can participate in a wide array of activities, including promotional events, special events, summer camp and educational tours. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.
The Coral Gables Museum seeks Instructors that will further the mission of the City Trekker Summer Camp. Instructors duties will include, but are not limited to: supervise registered campers, ages 5 to 12; assist with the development of arts and crafts activities that support session themes and that are safe, fun, and appropriate to the campers' age and abilities; lead activities within their camp group; provide staff support during morning drop-off, afternoon pick-up, weekly field trips, snack, lunch and recess. Instructors must be able to commit to full weeks, Mondays through Friday, 8:45am to 5:15pm.
Applicants with formal training or experience in the following subject areas are preferred:
- Visual Arts/Art Education/Art Therapy
- Environmental Science/Science Education
- Music/Music Education/Music Therapy
- Sports/Physical Education
- Architecture and Design
- Culinary Arts
- Video/Film Production/Audio Production

Must be available 2 days/16 hours per week. Reports to Director of Programs. Primary responsibilities include providing administrative support with family and school programs, including upcoming Teacher Workshop (Sept. 26). Applicants must have strong administrative skills and be familiar with Excel, Word, Powerpoint, and Internet. Applicants must demonstrate interest in visual arts, history, architecture, urban planning, sustainable design, museum management and/or education. This internship is unpaid. Academic credit is offered.

Applicants must demonstrate interest and experience in museum studies, history, art, and/or architecture. $500 stipend plus academic internship.
