The Old Police and Fire Station will house both Museum and City of Coral Gables office spaces. The main entrance at 285 Aragon will serve as the Museum’s main lobby and also a visitor information center for all Coral Gables’ cultural venues and events. Museum spaces will include four galleries, a gift shop, Museum administration offices and all back of house operations. The City’s Historical Resources Division will be on the second floor and the City’s archives, a research library for public and scholarly use, the IT Department, Coral Gables TV and CCTV will also share space in the building. Additionally, the original courtroom will serve as a flex space Community Room where city meetings, performances, lectures and other events may be held. Museum exhibits may also be installed in the Community Room.
