This workshop will use the Coral Gables Museum's
inaugural exhibitions, which opened in October 2011, and the Coral Gables
downtown area to learn about the city's local history and culture. The workshop will comprise of three curator-led exhibition tours,
a downtown historic walking tour, free time to explore two additional museum
exhibits, and an opportunity to discuss lesson plan ideas with their peers. The purpose of
this workshop is to inform teachers of Coral Gables history and empower them to
share this knowledge with their students.Breakfast

Each participant will receive a copy of Building
the Dream.
Following the workshop, teachers will be encouraged to implement a
lesson plan inspired by their experience.
